Jim,
In terms of handling on dry pavement, how does the P5 compare to your WRX? Why exactly did you trade in your WRX? (I apologize if this was discussed earlier.) Thanks.
Not a problem. I'd say the P5 handles damn near as good as the rex in the dry. I've yet to really push the P5 in the wet (rained all day today, what a mess.)
On the WRX, I had a sedan 20mm rear sway (stock wagon is 17mm,) Kartboy solid drop links, Cusco CF rear upper, and Cusco 4 point front under sub brace. That's a far cry from stock, trust me.
I still say the P5 can hold it's own, right from the factory. I'd love to see more mods for this car, as the WRX world is insane for upgrades (of which I'm a true fanatic on any car I own.)
As for why I got rid of it, I'm not going to go there in depth (I'll bite my tongue for the most part.) Excessive oil / coolant consumption, cold clutch shudder, and a piss poor SOA (Subaru of America) local rep are my main reasons for dumping it. Althought the dealer was cool as hell, the rep had the final say on warranty work. If you look at my web site photo's of the rex, you'll see why he had issues with my car. Yada, yada, yada. Water under the bridge.
LOVE THE P5. Period. Just needs an FM turbo kit and I'm set. This may take awhile, though!!
Jim
Edit: Sorry for getting off topic here folks!!!

I think a pic for the original Q would be in order here....
