They're ~$50, and look well built. I just wonder how they function. A search here pulls up no reviews.

i was also wondering this. id imagine it wouldnt be bad. but i dont think the throw is short as some others. i just bought and installed a twm shifter and love it.

I'm not sure if this applies but I had a friend buy one for his Honda Civic a few years back and it didn't fit well at all! I'll second the TWM. I've had mine installed since Dec '06 and not one complaint.

well, i may try it, if i can find a place that'll take a return if fitment is bad.

tell me, do you need a new boot when you get a short shifter, or does theooriginal still work and look ok?

Hmm, ok. Those redline boots get me excited, but $50...I'm thinking Fidanza $50, redline $50, got kartboy bushings for free = $100, basically save me $50.

I've had one for about 15k miles now and I love it. Combined with a GReddy counterweight shift knob and urethane bushings and the shifts feel so much sharper. The transmission does exactly what you tell it to, when you tell it to--there's no slop anymore. But since there's no rubber damper on the shifter stick, there is a little bit more noise. Worth the tradeoff if you ask me...

The boot is pushed down farther, but not so far down that it looks bad IMO. It definitely doesn't affect performance in any way, so it was a non-issue for me.

I'm sure the STS/TWM short shifters are nice, but the price point of the Fidanza was too good for me to pass up.
