Anyone change their own spark plugs / wires?

So how hard is it to do in this car? I'm looking to do it myself on a 2004 Mazda 6. Going to order the service manual. Did they make this car so normal humans can do it yourself or do they make them like some of the new GMs where you need to tilt the engine and pretty much can't do it with out a full service garage?

Going to go for NGK platinums for the replacement.

How about the wires?

Both the v6 and four cylinder are very easy to change. If you have some car knowledge and a little time anything is easy.

on a 2.3 4-cyl or a 3.0 V6?

3.0 V6.

What tools did everyone use?

Just your standard gap tools and spark plug wrenches? On my Impala I couldn't do it myself because it required tilting the engine, something I wasn't in the mood to do.

Speed6 Guy: Yeah, I do all the basics myself on my cars, anything I can do for cheaper than a mechanic (almost everything) I take care of. Oil, trans, plugs..

Have any of you guys done the wires?
