Anyone bothered by the poor front LED lights ?

Hi everyone,
I bought a CX5 Grand Touring 2021 before facelift in September 2021 and unfortunatelly it made me sense how poor my front lights are during night.Don't get me wrong, it is not that bad at all but honestly had a higher expectation. My question is if anyone has tried to change front LED bulbs if possible of course.Want to try better LED or Xenon.

If I remember correctly it's a sealed unit. You have to replace the whole headlight assembly and it's expensive.

Hello guys, I have a madza 6 2014 model. I just bought it and I have observed something annoying. When on slow drive or traffic it refuse to go into 1st gear and any gear I select it keeps going backward. Even when I put it on 5th gear it keeps getting to reverse.

Pls any suggestions will be appreciated

Probably to protect the engine. In a manual if you drop it into first, say at 15 mph you will get a sudden slow down, possibly causing a rear end collision.

This thread is about headlights!

To the OP:
The LED headlights on my previous two CX-3s — and now on my current CX-5 — are the brightest and most effective headlights I’ve ever experienced.
Perhaps the beam level on yours just needs to be adjusted?

My 2023 cx5 turbo has good headlights..I do wish there was a place to mount auxiliary lights. I run KC slimlites on my jeep and holy cowabunga do they put a beam out....

I’ve seen posts where people assume that because the CX-5’s headlights are small that they must be bad. Nope… some of the best headlights on the market.

Sure, in general. I dearly wish that the Matrix-type headlight setups could be approved in the U.S. ... but, so far, no dice.

My own 2016.5 CX-5 GT w/ Tech has decent enough LED headlights. Wish they were about 50% brighter, and really wish that the focusing of the beam were sharper and better. IMO, there is too much wasted "spill" that doesn't help with visibility where it's needed. That said, it's still head and shoulders above most other headlights I've experienced in a variety of vehicles.

Had a Miata some years back. Put in 7" Cibie e-code lights, along with up-rated wiring and stronger Osram bulbs. A great amount of light output. compared to the stock units. And the modern Miatas put out even more light, with the current setups. Still, IMO that doesn't compare to the brightest and best of the matrix-type lighting.

And yes, this is about the CX-5 — just like the hundreds of other threads.
