I have.....but with my wifes Cavalier.....A friend of mine has one and we went to the track.....his SpecV beat the cavy....he got a 15.2 and I got a 15.8........I got that bastard right off the line but he caught up! I wont even attempt to race him in my Protege5 though:)

The manager of a fast food joint across the street from my workplace owns a silver Spec V. I usually hand his ass to him after hours. Turbo is yummy :)

Yes, Did last night... Had him by a car and a half, the first time. Then the second only half a car. Third another one and a half cars on him. As long as you are a good driver you should get it. they will have you untill about 20 then its all yours.

u beat the spec v? stock for stock?? u beat my a car and a half and the second only a half a car? would u say the cars are evan it depends on the driver? he had u off the line?

I raced a Spec V from about 60 up to 120. I went to 3rd and pulled about a car ahead and I stayed a car ahead all the way to about 120. I am all motor right now too :)

Same here, My friend has a SE-R and everytime we line up..... I always end up seeing him in my rear view. His is stock and mine is almost stock.

SpecV's are quick from the start and through the quarter mile, But after 90-100 it's all dinner for me. It seems to me though that the base SE-R is quicker than the SpecV. my brother in law owns a red Se-R while my friend owns a SpecV. I can take the Spec through gears on the freeway but when it's the Se-R it's a whole different story though, he pulls hard from any gear to 105 then i start gaining little by little. But for the MS-P it should beat the SpecV by 2 car lenghs considering both driver's are equal.

Personally, I love that there is a proliferation of inexpensive sport sedans in the market.
Competition improves the breed, ever heard of that?

Kudos to Ford for the late and great Contour SVT, to Nissan for the Spec V and SE-R (and a real bargain in Canada), to Chrysler for the Neon SRT-4, to Subaru for the WRX, and all the other manufacturer's (you know who you are).

FASTSPECV, it was stock I am Stock(MSP forgot to mention that) the driver of the SPEC-V could not drive at all. If he was a better driver then it would be closer but I am almost positive I would still win. Not knocking your car I almost got one, but it is not in the same league.

okay I like the MSP, in fact im getting one. But it is very much so in the same league as the specV.

175hp vs. 170 hp, both four door, both around 2800lbs. And they are not in the same league how?:wtf:

If anyone around my area wants to meet up and race thats fine, but I wont have the specV much longer.

When you get it, you will understand what he means.
