Just picked up my Speed3 and was looking for people to meet up with. Are there any Mazda forums that have a good following in Washington? Any help would be appreciated.

Lets work up a meet for the first week of April...maybe some food and go karts! Anyone down with that? Suggestions?

Just curious...anybody here have the Speed3 CAI? I would have posted this question in the engine/performance thread, but since I am in WA and this thread is specifically for those in WA, I thought the question would be best answered.

For those that do have the CAI, any problems with water? I am seriously considering in purchasing one, but all of you know about the weather here. Constant wetness.

I have read up on the shield that is provided, but still am not convinced. I apologize about the redundancy of this question.

I am from Whidbey island WA. I used to set up some of the meets and i will be organizing one when i return to the US in June(I am in the Navy and right now i am on cruise in the Arabian Gulf). Check out the NW section on the forum to find more WA members.

I have a Custom CAI on my protege and I drive in the rain all the time. My intake sits pretty low to the ground and i have not had a problem. Their is a risk of hydro locking your motor if you go through a deep puddle. So just avoid floods.

I have the MS CAI on my Speed3 and havent had a single issue. As you know it has been raining pretty heavily lately. No issues...really the filter stays pretty dry. I recommend it for sure.

There's a pacific northwest mazda group at pnwmazda.com and it has a pretty active Seattle area group, I'm in the Auburn, soon to be Renton, area, and would love more meets and events.
