Try living in south florida.
A civil war Tin-type of my Wife's Haunted House character Mr. Croupe (Yes, she plays a man. No, she's not manly out of character)
Also quick fact about the exposure time on the Hubble telescope. Some of the photos peering into the deepest and earliest parts of the Universe require a 3 month exposure time. Can you imagine taking a photo for 3 months just to take in enough light!?

I've recently been asked to do some senior portraits by a couple of friends, and I need to expand my lens collection. My wide angle and 18-250 zoom aren't really going to cut it and I've been thinking hard about this Sigma. There's a sony equivalent that is similar (and far cheaper), but comes with a smaller aperture and what sounds like cheap build quality. From the reviews on Canon and Nikon bodies it seems like a solid choice. What do you guys think?

If you're going to stick with Sony, get this:

or this if your budget isn't that high

might be a little long for the z33, but would translate well to a full frame camera if you ever go that route with the sony. if you're not 100% sony, ditch it now and start building your collection of canon or nikon. you'll have a way better selection of lenses if you go with one of those brands. particularly canon. I am probably biased though.

The background is pretty busy, it's kind of distracting; and you're losing some detail in the hood, windshield and roof of the car because of the reflections from it. If it were me shooting it, I'd back away from the car a bit and bring some more of the environment into the shot, it needs a sense of place. The light on the car looks good though.
It also looks strange that the front of the car is so close to the edge of the frame. Generally you want to give the car some space to go somewhere within the picture
