Any photographers in here?

Met up with a friend on a recent hike.

Esprit V8 TT.

That along with the Ferrari F355 are two of my favorite cars EVAR!

I guess I have a thing for wedges.

the esprit is real nice. ive got the woodward dream cruise coming up this weekend, hopefully some pictures come out decent. any advice for taking shots of cars in large crowds?

Sounds like all the exotic car shows I go to. Very large crowds.

Use a wide angle lens and simply wait a little longer to get the shot you want. Sometimes I find if you stand in one spot long enough holding up the camera (that is if you use a DSLR with a big lens) then people tend to disperse rather quickly. Almost like holding up a gun. Lol!

The Tutto Italiano 2010 event was jam packed!

between the detroit auto show and dream cruise i do a lot of standing around waiting for the opportunity to shoot. i wish people here were considerate enough to not stand and pick their noses in front of cars when there are people trying to take pictures, maybe the gun idea would work better haha. i must remember to bring the polarizing filter this year!

If they are standing right in front of me for too long I simply say, "Excuse me". Once they see the camera they move.

Ya..I usually wait for the people to disperse. Or they see me crouching down w/ the camera up and they'll wait for me to take the pic before they go see the car. People have been pretty nice so far.

if people don't get out of the way when you are taking photos, you need a bigger lens/camera/battery grip.

very true, lots of people have DSLR's now so with my older D50 with kit lens people no longer move for the guy with the camera. maybe ill throw the sb800 on top to make it look bigger haha. there are occasional people who will stand back while im trying to take a shot or move but lots of them are just oblivious or just dont care.
