Any photographers in here?

I wouldn't even bother w/ renting a body man.. get a gorilla pod and a 24-70 with a teleconverter. done.

Yeah, I've tossed the body out - just glass.

Trust me, at f/2.8, your body is more than adequate. I've seen the pics you take... you'll do fine with just glass.

Word of warning: don't rent anything you're not ready to buy... This will make you want new lenses in the worst way possible.

Thanks man - and I totally understand the warning, that's part of the reason why I am renting!

Just dont' get robbed. Get the 24-70 and a TC..you'll be fine. Plus on a crop..you'd almost be at 200mm for telephoto and shooting about 2 stops slower.

Thanks

it's kind of busy. What's the subject? The car? make it fill more of the frame, and maybe use a larger aperture so that the background is more of a background instead of confusing the composition. Also, it looks a little underexposed. Keep shooting and keep your photos simple and straight forward!

Thanks! I have a couple more shots of the car...I appreciate the help, I enjoy photography a lot I just don't think I have the "eye" for it yet.

Just shoot me a PM of the date range that you need it. I only use the body about 3-4 times a year; this year it'll be June 19, June 27, July 18.

I just ordered the 10-22mm, the 24-70L f/2.8, and a CP filter for $250 for 2 weeks... Not bad IMO

gr? I think I'm gonna stick with my camera since I went with such wide lenses. I'll still meet up with you for 5 Guys though!

Here are a couple HDR photos from the Andrews AFB Airshow this past Sunday:

Thanks for the feedback! I know HDR is either loved or hated, but I really like the results. I just wish my D40 had the auto-bracketing feature!
