Man, if I wasn't shooting stuff that required wider angles lately, I'd be all over that lens.
tehe! though I'm surprised you're not lookin at the 1.4 instead.I think as of right now my lens list in order of precedence is:
50mm f/1.8
10-22mm f/3.5
100-400mmL
tehe! though I'm surprised you're not lookin at the 1.4 instead.
if you want to get the 50mm f/1.8, just do it! it's $100! that's chump change, man! The one you would have to contemplate is the 50mm f/1.4, cause it's like $3-400 or so. I kind of wish I had gotten that one.
I've heard about lots of frustrations with ~18-~200 lenses... Not much good, unfortunately... plus, f/6.3 at the zoom side? yuck.
my next lens will be a Canon L. Right now, it's looking like it will be a 24-70. If I buy in the summer, it might turn into a 100-400 though.
I picked up my mkI for $125... like most things I own, I basically stole it.
24-70 is a good lens. I miss mine. It's out for repairs right now haha. I think I used it too much.
Yeah, I know. 1.4 is really tempting, but it comes down to money. If I have it at the time, I'll get the f/1.4, but for now my budget says 1.8
NEVERRRRRR
when it comes back, can I borrow it?
50 1.4 is better than the 1.8 but the 85m 1.8 is better than the 1.4![]()
debatable... depends on what body and how you want to use it.50 1.4 is better than the 1.8 but the 85m 1.8 is better than the 1.4![]()
I want to do that, but I'm afraid to. I know I'll like it, it will just make me want it more.LOL..rent it man and try it out for yourself. I think you'll like it. Actually, LOVE it.
The 85 f/1.8 is the same money as the 50 f/1.4... it's just a question of 1, enough room to work with, and 2, is the extra stop of light important. Why would you tell me this? Are you trying to ruin me? (toetap)
