Any photographers in here?

Just the right amount of light I guess. I have other pics later on when it got darker out and those of course did not come out as well.

a tower at the east rim

as you can probably tell, lighting was very harsh. most of the pics were taken in the late morning and close to noon time. a filter or a polarizer would've helped, but i have neither. lol...

^Could've told me you have a polarizer, I would've believed you.

Man, my friend took this picture. I think it is a great shot, but I need to learn at what angles to shoot cars at and stuff. I notice most shots come out nicer from a lower angel. Does it look like he used a special lens?

my ROTM submission pic as well as one of my overall favorite pics ive taken.

I agree, killer shot L8R. Does not appear to have used any special lens. Focal length is long and the angle is just right.

Here's one i took at the Nisei Showoff in LA about a week ago. Combination of low angle and wide lens works great on cars; especially low ones with the wheels turned. This was 17mm on a Rebel XT.

I don't know where or how you got it - but you've got a great sense of composition and framing the shot.

Don't feel too bad, you did manage to get one peak in your pic.(mswerd)

Thanks for the complement, I guess I get lucky... I take about 12 of each picture from different angles and I get one or two to look good (In my eyes)

although I swear I wasn't this good until I moved to Alaska. I think Alaska would make a disposable camera look good, so I won't take credit for that.
