Any photographers in here?

it was 2500 or 3000 I forget off hand, it was way bigger than that most of the rocks have fallen over the years, there used to be around 50 of them and its 48m circumference if iirc

I think all of us here would love to be able to travel the world and take pics. Props on the beautiful work.

yes so true, that is the first true vacation I have ever took in my life sadly enough lol

I am in Paris this week so hopefully I will have some time to go snap some pics on saturday to give the 40D a go :)

You should be able to adjust your white balance. OR..do a custom white balance by pointing the camera at a white wall/paper/surface and taking a picture of it. Should be in your menu for "WB"

Was that at the USGP? I visited on the Friday afternoon practice session. It was incredible to see those cars in person. I just wish you were allowed to walk the paddock area.

I clearly suffer from SLD (short lens disorder).

So, motor sports are kind of a special event; what do you like to shoot on a regular basis?

why did you shoot at F22?

Seeing how low his ISO was, and how bright it was on that day, i'm willing to bet it was the only way to get his shutter speed slow enough to properly pan aside from ND filters

Nice pictures though, welcome to our 120+ page discussion forum lol

its ISO 200 & 1/80th of a second so its not that, the rebel will do 1/4000 of a second

Haha, SLD, I like it! It was in fact the USGP this year (my 7th) and I am pissed that its not coming back... Its my Dad's camera, though, (which I hope to be buying off him soon) so he's got the big lens in the house. I have a Konica Minolta DiMage Z2 which is a piece, but has 10x optical zoom.

I usually shoot airplanes and cars, but if I see something that looks cool, I'll take a shot...

That's a big affirm man. It was the morning practice and even though the light was low, it was bright enough to give me a huge f#. I'm still learning, but that was one of my best from the weekend.

Here's a couple more:

Someone on the 350z forum wanted a shot of Tanner so I uploaded this one; I'll have the rest of the pics up within 24 hours.
