Any photographers in here?

I'll post them to the thread this weekend. Might be good reference pics.

I will try and track down who makes the rig this weekend too.

Well tonight was my first real night experimenting with my new camera setup, and actually taking the time to do a full 3 hour shoot. I got in at around 11pm tonight and to my dismay realized that my sensor had tons of dust on it (crazy when the camera only has 1500 shots on it). So i've edited the best rig shots from tonight below.

first, this is my mount setup. It has 2 bogen suction cups, about a 2 foot long pole, and some clamps. Wish i had more info, this was given to me by a friend and he picked it up second hand.

And now to the rig shots:

Yah, i just need to find some piping the same diameter, and i'm made. I need to take a trip to home depot or lowes. Rig shots are fun as hell

the last one it great!!! btw you are just using a shutter release cable to take the picture correct? how long, 20 feet??

a friend sold his Evo for an S2000 and he wanted a few shots, so we snapped a few in between heat 3 & 4 at the local autocross. We only had 15 minutes so I didn't get too many. These were taken at the lot where the autoX was held, so the location isn't the greatest but it was what was close and available lol.

I think these are great. You appear to have exposure settings pretty well nailed. Now you just have to find some visually more interesting locations.

The sensor dust is always going to be there, at least if you've ever changed your lens. It seems so obvious now because you have your aperture closed way down...like f/20 or greater. That's when your camera's DoF is so big that even dust on the sensor is almost in focus. Its the same basic principle that allows pin-hole cameras to not need lenses and disposables or fixed focus cameras to work.

Anyway, keep editing it out for now. Most of your images won't be taken at such an extreme setting, making the dust much less visible.

Speaking of PhotoShop, for the image above take a second and healing brush that airbag warning sticker off the passenger seat visor. Its the only thing that takes away from a really great image. Well, if we're being really picky, I might also say that you had to really crank the brightness on that image because the noise is much higher then in the other images. I think the end result would be just as dramatic if you bring down the mid and low levels a bit.

Those are wonderful shots of the S2K. Never thought one in yellow could look so good.
