Go for the Nikon D80 or D200.

ok yeah i love both of those, while i can dream of those, the price starts to get a little high for my budget. i havent seen a d80 under $1000 yet...

While I was in Vegas last week (Las Vegas Photorgrapy), they were selling the body only for like $899. That was the lowest price I had seen.

The Nikon D2Xs and the D2Hs are the shiat! They body of both of those cameras remind me of the Nikon F5 and F6 SLR film cameras.

Have you thought about a D40?? Its really good for the money... I'd invest in a nice lens and use the D40 body to gain some skill, then upgrade to a used D80 or D200 body after a few months.

HAHA I swear it, they both live with me. She is going to school right now to be a pharmacist. I have more shots of both of them as well as nature shots and misc stuff in my photobucket. haha i know, we really dont care about it though. We got the table from a friend on the low low i think we paid 800 for it. Its 3 piece slate, 9ft and had blue felt, we promptly changed it over to red. Nothing wrong with it though. Nice and level with tight pockets

going a little of topic since it sounds like you know a thing or 2 about the tables, and it does look like a nice table. what kind of cloth you have on there? looks like a fast type, and a nice cue too. looks almost like a 3 piece, so you can use it for jumps and masse shots, is it?
