ISO was at 1000.

Got my new 580 EX II flash, flash bracket, BG-E3 battery grip, flash cord, diffuser on friday. I haven't had much time to play around with it but for what few shots I've taken have looked a lot better. I used to have to put my ISO to 1600, aperature as open as I can get(4.5 on my lens) and a shutter of around 1/15 to get even a remotely visible picture in my condo. I can now take a shot in almost pitch black in my condo and it looks like daylight, even with ISO 100 and 1/200 shutter. I'm working on bounce lighting with the flash to prevent shadows. First wedding job is in October so I got plenty of time to practice.

Looks like the low light was giving you fits... neither of them would be what I call "super-sharp"

yeah, good though, alot of things fairly in focus though. You could probably stand to drop it to 3.5 to 2.8 depending on your lens for increased speed and sharpness. My personal rule of thumb is never below 1/125 when they are moving and AI Servo.

already started doing push-ups to get strong for it :lol:
I probably won't use that setup for taking pictures of cars, just weddings. For cars I'll keep the bracket off and might not use the battery grip.

That was AI Servo. 1/160 to 1/125 ....iso800-1250 and the lens was running 2.8 to 1.8

I need to work on my ai servo skills!

I use a TTL cord and a 10inch umbrella in one hand

just got a efs 17-55 f/ 2.8!! Ive only taken a few pictures with it but it is amazingly sharp!

thanks guys..I didn't get as many pics this time. Maybe shot about 50 total. And maybe 3 or 4 that i really like. It was frickin cold. My nipples could cut glass LOL..
