Any photographers in here?

I was shooting with my Canon 55-250 IS lens, so nothing too special. Its all about positioning at the show, timing the shot and hella cropping.

If you ever get the chance to go to an airshow with an F-22, I'd suggest you drop everything to see it! That thing puts on one of the most impressive displays ever and I don't get tired of seeing it. It specializes in ripping vapor out of the air!

The last few they have had at Maxwell Airforce Base have not included an F-22.
I remember one year, we didn't go to the show, but our house is in the landing path of one of the runways and a B-2 flew over the house for the show!! Crazy stupid quiet!! Never even heard the thing only got lucky because I was outside and spotted it.

man, I remmeber when my dad was stationed at maxwell and the planes would fly over our house for weeks before the show practicing. I'd just sit outside for hours watching/hoping to see one.

You have to remember also, they pull out the stops for the airshow here with our proximity to Washington DC. The military likes to show off its best and loudest toys to the lawmakers and Pentagon officials and trust me when I say they have the best of the best performing the show!

Yeah i bet they do pull out all the stops!!

I have seen the Thunderbirds a few times and the Blue Angels. Both are just amazing!!
