Any P5's faster than 16.5 @ 82mph?

Just asking...unless it was done 'on a track' (no GTech times, etc), it doesn't count.

I'm looking to see how a P5, 5sp would compare to my 1.6L Miata.

I think the P5 has a solid chance for low 16's witha good driver and the basics should bump her to 16 flat to high 15's

a p5 w/no back seats,spear tire, jack,ect....
mods are : cai,hks axle back,j-spec cams,racing mazda header,mp3 ecu.
i dont have a clue what my whp # are but the car feels alot better now.
also i was in really bad heat over 100 degrees
with wheel spin trough first.

yeah the car comes stock with a bad family car clutch for moms trying to get out of the way of oncoming traffic, well, because it's a family car =)

yeah, you should probably be around there, if not more dynowise, although my exhaust is 2.5" HKS all the way header back, so your axle back may hurt you

There's no way I'd replace my miata w/ an 'inferior performer'

The P5 is slotted to be my WIFE's car. We need a replacement for our aging Alitma - Her stipulations are:

P5 - in White, Silver, or Dark Blue
5 speed
Moon/Power Sun Roof
Leather
FM Turbo - She absolutetly does NOT want a car that is slower than her Altima.

Breaking into the 15s is a REALLY good deal, for a N/A protege...Gutting the car certainly helps I'm sure. I know of a couple 2L Probes who have reached as quick at 15.6, so I was sure the Protege 'could' see the 15s, with like mods.

My miata went 16.5 w/ Clutch/FW, and Chopped up GReddy Cat Back, along w/ the RX7 Turbo II Air Flow meter (Car dyno'd at 102hp/85?Ft-lbs). With my new mods, Carbon Fiber CAI, RB Header/Exhaust/Light wheels, I'm fairly certain it to be a few tenth/mph more powerful.

what did you expect? And with all what? A $50 AFM and a Pieced-together cat-back as the only 'performance' parts? Do you know they only 'come with' 116hp? a 16.5 in a 93 Miata with VERY few mods is a GREAT time. Top 10% of all similarly modified 1.6L miatas I'd wager.

I don't have a scanner and I'm moving to houston saturday so everything is packed, but I was just figuring from someone calling the p5 "inferior performer" would have somethign that would be able to kill it.

Take it witha grain of salt, he called it inferior to a 116 hp car, that is a glorified crotch rocket!.

Because you don't have a scanner you can't come up w/ a trap speed or 60 ft time? How do you figure the P5 isn't inferior? Do you know me? Look dude, drop the attitude. If you wanna measure dicks, fine. Let's look at data:

1/4 Mile:
You mystical 15.9 isn't s***. Nor is my car's best, BEFORE i/h/e, of 16.5. In a drag race TODAY, you'd likely BARELY beat my miata - IF you drove your best race. I always drive within .1 of my best time. (shrug).

ANY OTHER TYPE OF RACE:
(That didn't include bringing along 4 friends )
There'd be only a FEW P5s, I'd guess, who could hang w/ My Miata on a road course...Then, it'd be 'driver' more than 'car' probably...I'm a very new track driver.

So what's the deal? I simply ask for some E/T's and you take it personal?
