Any one know any good proxies?

so yea, my school blcoked everything... google video, youtube, and photobucket.

so i cant watch any videos on the forum or view half the pictures. they blocked alot of other stuff at the same time, i'm just not sure exactly what, these are just the ones i know. also myspace and all those have been blocked for a long time.

so yea, if anyone knows a good proxie server to get around these blocks let me know....

do you know what type of filter your school uses? is it an off the shelf product? (websense, fortinet, bluecoat) or is it homegrown and custom.

Nice, thx grey_protege! My work uses Websense... Safeforwork.net seems to get past it.

Now I can use MSN and lower my productivity by more than 50%! Excellent...

haha well its liek this...

im a senior... hear is my 7 hour schedule...

1)photo ind. study
2)yearbook
3)weight training
4)college prep math
5)newspaper/adv. journalism
6)yearbook editorial leadership
7)english 12


basically i got all ym required classes done, got a 31 on my ACT with a 35 math and 35 science sub score.... so now all i do is photography since that is what im goping to college for... which is all out of school work...

so i have 4 hours of the day where i do nothing... but sit online.

all of these are blocked as well. for all things blocked it gives a reason...

the aformentioned sites in the first post are blocked for the reason of "personal" the proxies are blocked and the reason is "anonimizer/translator".

pretty sure its a home grown thing at this point... i go to one of the most prestigious public school districts in the nation... basterds are crazy... and smart.

HOWEVER im good friends with my particular highschool's sysop who always helps me with my mac stuff. she has agreed to argue with the school district that these sites are needed for journalism purposes (which they actually are) especially because they managed to block all third party sites for school sponsored activities that are LINKED ON THE DISTRICT PAGE (for instance www.reptheatre.tripod.com ).

but my arguement is that i can save my photos and transfer from home pc to mac using photobucket and that we can quote speeches exactly by rewatching them using video.google.com or youtube.com....

we'll see how this goes... i usually put up a pretty good arguement...

if not, then i'll just ahve a feature done about it in the school paper. because here in kansas, the student press has full first amendment rights...
