is there any good brand headers for the Mazda 3 hatchback 2.3 automatic?
The only headers that are available right now are the Draxas 4-1 Race Headers and they are on pre-order and won't be out until the 1st week in May I think. Go to Draxas.com to check them out.

funny thing is that i never heard of all these engine modification for the mazda. only one i heard of is magnaflow and borla. usually, i check around at greddy, dc, and most of the japanese parts

The major companies don't find it necessary to support our mazda community so most of the products come from smaller companies such as draxas, hi-boost, and other smaller companies. The draxas exhaust is good quality, I have it on my 3 right now.

i was wondering, whats the difference between 4-2-1 and 4-1?
The difference between the 2 is that the 4-1 starts off with 4 pipes mounted to a flange that mounts to the head and then goes into 1 single pipe which attaches to a flex pipe and then to either the stock catalytic converter or to whatever catback system you are using. the The 4-2-1 goes from 4 at with a flange at the head into 2 into 1 and then into a flex pipe and connecting to the exhaust.

so then why the hell would they produce 4-2-4-1 headers...I know there was a little info on it, but Im still trying to grasp the concept...

It takes the best of both worlds and adds it to one.
Concept is it has and is still being tested everyday, has been compared and tested against the others and makes more hp/tq.
