Any 2006 5-speeds left?

Hi all -

My wife and I (ok, I) have finally decided to purchase a Mazda5. We want a 2006 model with a 5-speed, but they're all gone in Indiana. Are there any still available near you? I'd be willing to fly/drive. Any info would be appreciated.

There are a bunch of them here in Minneapolis but it'd be a long drive for you. I figure if there are a bunch here there must be more all over. You can't search for 2006 models on Mazda's web site but you can on the individual dealer web sites, or at least some of them.

I just looked at mazdausa.com and despite reports to the contrary, I did pull up the 2006 model inventory. It's usually very accurate for what's actually sitting on the dealer lots. You're right, there aren't any left in Indiana; I searched a 150 mile radius from Indianapolis, South Bend, and Evansville, which I figured would pretty much cover the entire state. The closest 2006 5-speed Sports I found were in Cincinnati and Mattoon, IL. Give the web site a try.

Jon, I didn't find 2006 5-speed Sports in Minneapolis, either. Is there info you know about that isn't on that web site?

Yes - I noticed the 2006 search functionality was back. (I had emailed MazdaUSA about a week ago about it... maybe they listened.) The black 5speed in Mattoon looks promising; we also have a bead on a 2006 Sport automatic that, if I can bear the slapshifter, is too good to pass up. We're heded up the dealer tonight and will report back with the details.

Thanks for the help!

It was my mistake. They are automatics. Sorry, and thanks for pointing out that the 2006 search function is back on the Mazda site.

don't do the autotragic! It'll kill any chance of the car feeling at all "peppy"

Well, we did it! I'm comfortable with the autotragic, and besides it is the wife's primary car... Will post the deal shortly. Thanks again.

Well if she's happy with it, that's what matters, right?

The only Mazda5 I've driven was an automatic one at Mazda Zoom Zoom Live.. it kinda felt as slow as my P5 (manual tranny) which honestly isn't that bad.
