Another wheel fitment question.

Sorry ppl, I've searched all over the forums, but I'm finding alot of mixed answers, or questions about sizes similar to what I'm looking for but still off.

So my buddy has some Volks on his 92 Talon TSi, not sure of the name of the rim, or the offset.
The rims size is 18x8 with 245/40/18 tires, I want to put them on my MSP, totally factory suspension and ride height, haven't changed a thing.

I'm going to test fit them on my car on Sunday, I'll find out the offset and stuff then. But my question is, is there any chance at all, if the offset is right, that these rims will fit my car????????

if the offset is high enough, the wheels should, but those tires seem too wide. you'd rub somewhere. i'd imagine there'd be some fender rolling in your future.

It really wont matter what offset it is. I had 50offset and only 225/45/18 on 18x7.5 and it was almost undrivable.

^^^ what he said, it won't matter what the offset is - a 245/40-18 will NOT fit the protege. there just isn't enough room in the fender well
