So ever since my babys bris, when I ran a 4 gauge power cable to my amp in that delightful little firewall hole behind the glovebox (SO easy btw to just make a cut with a good pocket knife in the seal and run a big cable through) I've been getting an odd "creaking" noise from just beyond the dash. It seems to be where the tubes for the wiper fluid run, in and around the fluid sprayers, that whole tray. I just spent the morning readjusting all my power cables, and I'm very confident they aren't the issue.
It sounds almost like popcorn popping in a rubber pan. It never happens at idle, only when moving, and with or without drivetrain engaged. I took off the battery tray - not the issue either. If I jostle the wiper fluid tray running against the windshield, I can produce what I think is the noise, but its so different from when you're driving. Anybody else have something like this?
DaleNixon, we shold meet soon just so you can hear this...
