Of course in Sept of 2014...and about 2500 miles ago it went out of warranty.
2011 CX9 GT. Smart key has newer batteries mid last year. We only have one key FYI as we bought it used with 9k miles or so.
With that.....The fob works in a literally sense that it will unlock and lock the doors. However it will IMMEDIATELY unlock them. Almost like the fob is still in the car and the safety feature of not locking the keys inside steps in. Even if you pull the key out and try to manually lock the doors WITH THE KEY. It still wont allow them to lock. It acts as though its locking and immediately flicks it back to unlocked.
Thoughts?
I see these smart keys are common issues. I did some searching and did find much. If i missed a thread with information similar to mine I apologize. please post it for me.
