Hey, im new here and i love my speed3 :)

I picked up a Mazda Speed3 because i was in the market for a reliable daily to get me to and from school. I was originally looking for a 3 hatch but the speed caught my eye for how much more you got with only a few grand extra. With a bit of help from a friend of mine i got the sport trim 8.5 version for a little less then 25k with a 7 year 100,000k warranty, including all the taxes and registration.

I love this car because its practical but its also performance oriented. No one wants to compete against it because it looks just like a Mazda3 until you pass them and they see the badge, i just love the sleeper look with it as well. Stock for stock it is just as fast as the 97' trans am its replacing so its like having my cake and eating it too. No mods planed simply because i do see the point of sacrificing any reliability/warrenty for a car that can already smoke most cars out there :P

At the moment i also own a 88' Celica All-trac that im actively building to be an sti/evo killer. Love the looks on peoples faces when i tell them about a 2.0 turbo AWD celica lol

Ugghh! The dealer put their advertisement sticker on the car! Bastards! Welcome to the forum though.

What's the best way to get those off, I'm afraid to start picking at mine without some sort of plan.

Welcome and enjoy the Speed.

yeah I got mine before it was even cleaned by the dealer, it still had the covers on the rims and all the plastics inside, including all the Japanese manufacturing stickers inside.

So I was glad it didn't have the dealer sticker, but if it did, I wouldn't leave until it was gone.

btw. Welcome to the forums. Nice celica!

Welcome..To get those dealer stickers off just peal them off..You could use a hair dryer if they are stuck on there really good but you should be able to just pull them off.

grats on your Speed3!

About that sticker, just use a single blade razer, and you should be able to get that junk right off... its similar to replacing registration stickers on your car if you use a sticker based registration sticker, if you know what i mean.

I peeled my stickers right off with my fingernail. 90 degree 100% humidity dirty southern weather ftw!

Welcome to the club, and that Celica looks awesome!

so glad my dealer didnt put any of their bs on my car.
p.s. nice alltrack, definitely a sleeper.

am i the only one that thinks that celica is bad ass? haha.

oh yeah, speed looks good too. :)

Looks good congrats, man thats a huge dealer sticker though, take it back and have them remove it so you dont risk scratching it yourself. I warned the dealer I bought my car from about that and they actually listened, no sticker, no license plate bracket, and no automatic car washes. I even had their quality manager come out with a clay bar and fix some rail dust spots on my car. Somehow every time I go in all the people there know who I am.

Welcome to the ZOOM ZOOM family.
I just hate dealer stickers, even their temp license plates and frames. Like CWPspeed3, I specifically ask then not to place them on the car or to take them off. Never had any problem with the dealer following through. Too worried about negative feedback from the buyer survey.

Welcome! I'm a new MS3 owner myself. As for the dealer ad-stickers, I told them to remove them before I pulled off the lot. It was pretty funny actually.

The salesman said, "Are you serious?"

I replied, "Look into my eyes...do I look serious about this? I don't want your advertisements all over my car. I'm not a rolling commercial. I'm pleased with how you guys conducted business, and you'll get referrals simply by my word of mouth. But those stickers have got to go." hehe

I understand why they do it, but it doesn't mean I have to like it, nor accept it.

I too have the dealer not install or remove its sticker from any car I buy. I do tell them however that I will be happy to display their sticker for a nominal marketing fee of $500 per month. I've have not had a single dealer accept that offer as of yet...

Nice 3speed.

My dealer doesn't use stickers anymore they have their logo on the license plater frames- which I don't mind wearing.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, yeah the dealer sticker is annoying and im taking it off. Btw thanks for the celica love, its an insanely fun sleeper to drive when it runs lol

After owing my MS3 for a while i still can find little that annoys me about the car. I started hanging out with some local enthusiasts in the area and it surprised me how many of them were interested in the car. The sleeper nature of the car has gotten me out of at least two tickets already. I really didn't know how rare or how capable these cars were until a couple of weeks ago. Two guys in a 06' S2k were interested in racing me and the MS3 beat it easily from both a role and a stop.

Anyways ive started to become curious about mods for the car. Anyone have any suggestions? Looking at mazda speed parts but they are expensive, so any suggestions would be helpful more along the lines of horsepower and torque gains.

Edit: FC pics, car is for sale too so if anyone is interested lol

Good luck on not modding. If you do mod then you waisted the money on the extra warranty. Even if you don't mod and something breaks the dealership can claim it's your fault for racing and/or abusing the car.

^ agreed... My brother ushered me into it and now whenever he ses my car and hears about my plans he just shakes his head and mutters "Ive created a monster" he he...

Welcome!

You guys are completly right about the warrenty. Asking around though ive heard different things from even other mazda owners on what the companies policy on aftermarket effecting warrenty. So i figured i might as well ask for your guys opinion. That and im trying to see weather or not the gains through Mazdaspeed can justify the cost. From what ive read here are heard im looking at an intake, downpipe and exhaust. Im really just trying to remove any other bottlenecks in the system.
