Another Engine goes Boom

Well the simple stuff.....bushings, hood squeeks, 2 bad radios, flickering lights, then we get into a flooded engine, pcm gone bad, and now a knock and complete loss of oil (which didnt drain out and i couldnt find a trace of it burning)
I have had all of that(minus ECU) plus a slew of other problems!I dont think they will be buying your car back.Fix it maybe ,but not buy it back.I just want all the scratches in my engine bay fixed.I even wrote a letter to Mazda and never heard back from them. This was nearly 9 months ago.

Im just expressing my disappointment. Im not gonna do anything but let them know how i feel and not go away.

get the KY ready cause mazda is gonna ownz you if you have rod knock.

I had the same problem and they tried to get me to fix it for 6K out of my pocket. I told them to suck a big fat cockadoodledoo.

Just go forged. You played with fire and got burned. I had the same problem with my oil going somehwere i didnt know. You rod bearing is ****** and the knocking is your rod.

Time to pay up for your mistakes.

Pay for my mistakes?? I dont see how i made any mistakes and im sure as hell not gonna just bend over. Secondly i dont know how you figure a rod bearing is gonna cost 6k.

Nope,I think hes got Mazda on this one.If he had fuel puddles in the cylinders, and it was noted...I think there could have been damage that was not seen to the motor from the ECU malfunctioning before.I think he will be fine. They didn't even question replacing my motor when I blew it.I think you just got the short end of the stick. You should have fought harder for your motor. They would have fixed it rather than go through the BS that could have hit the fan.

BTW,what were the deatils of your ordeal?

dood, listen to me. My father is a lawyer. We got the attorney general of ohio to speak with corporate mazda about fixing the engine and still it was a no go. If you had mods, which you did, mazda will know.

You ran low on oil, your rod bearing welded itself to the crank and now you have severe rod knock.

Does it only knock up until about 2500 rpms and then go away?

If it does i believe you have the same issue i had. Low oil.

Mazda will not cover it. Dont **** everyone else because you modded and lost. When you make more power you put added stress on the engine.
And im sure you didnt have a MBC... you had a fmic and no mbc? yeah, ok...

Suck it up man, i had to take a 3K dollar loan to fix my mistake and that is the mature way to do it. Take the responsibility. You will be much happier in the long run.

I know of a couple of motors that have let go in the last couple of weeks. This is like deja-vu! Didn't we have a whole bunch of motors go around this time last year?

I think we did! Coincidence?I think it has to do with the weather changes?
I could be wrong but Hmmmmmm?

Thats what im saying. Im not sure if they noted it but i know they told me over the phone and all phone calls have a reference number. Im not worried about the aftermarket parts because it looks way to bad that this happened just a month after all that work done by mazda. Im expecting the worst and praying for the best.

Actually i dont have a MBC asshole. I never have and i wasnt planning on it until after my warranty is up. And why the hell does me having a FMIC mean i would have a MBC. I have no damn problem talking about what i have on my car. So quit telling me to take the responsibility. Secondly a FMIC is not going to create a big difference in power. it only performs the duty of the stock fmic properly(no heat soak) at all times.

noted... but still. it was modded. Mazda does not have to cover it, and i bet they will try their damndest not to as well.

there is a big difference between replacing an ecu and an engine, dont expect them to say "ok, you had mods but its ok we'll give you a new engine for free". Dont think mazda doesnt look on theses boards. The know people are modding the s*** out of these cars and they will not bend over and take a loss on every blown motor that comes their way.

Good luck, i hope mazda doesnt **** you.

ok im sorry for assuming, it just pisses me off to the nth degree when i see someone who modded their motor and baked it and doesnt want to take responsibility for it. I had to pay to play. I hate seeing people shirk their responsibilities.

Did you even check your oil? Im guessing not.

This statement is 100% true.It does not alter the power output any more than driving the car in the freezing temps of winter. You are just running more efficiently all of the time.I am getting ready to fab up a Sidemount IC for the stock location because heat soak is owning me this year.I have never had as bad of hesitation from heat soak as I have already had this year at temps only around 75 degrees.

Only time is gonna tell but im still trying to figure how they wanted 6k seeing as how a new engine is cheaper. Secondly every dealer is different and this isnt looking good for them because they just had to service my car a month ago. And i asked them to check the internals and they said there was no need. Now look.

Mazda might have let you go last time(with the mods) because it was something small that was getting replace, and knew in their heads if you come back with major problems they can blame it on your mods, just something to think about...

Yes i do check my oil and my oil light came on for the first time ever as soon as this happened and i immediately shut off my car. Im not trying to get out of anything. My mods in no way harm this car. And any internal damage on a car this new is a faulty part..
