Another center console/right leg question

Assisting my son in considering a 2016 CX5 GT AWD. Really like the vehicle.
Only question remaining relates to the center console and how it restricts/limits right leg room.
He is 6 feet tall...so its not an issue of being unusually tall or short. Its just the one thing that has bugged him a bit in the test drives that we have done.
And we have noticed it in a couple of the other threads.
My question is....is this something that others find to be continuing "negative"? Or something that he will get used to and we shouldn't make too big a deal of it?
Thanks for giving us your thoughts.

For what it's worth, I'm 6'1" and I don't have any trouble with it. I have my seat back as far as it will go and I find that I have plenty of room.

Same here - I am 6'3" and keep the seat back and somewhat low and have lots of space - especially for left foot. I don't find the right getting tired or needing to be stretched out and I drive 3 hour trips a 4-6 times a month.

After test driving many cars, particularly the ones in the CUV class, I find that there are vehicles that are somewhat confining. I tend to believe that the CX-5 is less confining than other vehicles that I tested. The worst is the new Lexus NX.; I felt that my legs were in an office trashcan when driving that car. I would've never purchased that car: it made you feel like you're in a cocoon.
