Hello,
I have a Mazda 3 2.3i (non turbo). The power steering is not working. I bought the car with damage on the left front wheel. De error code is C1278 (Angle senor), now i replaced the complete steering gear and angle sensor (both secondhand form one car). Result, power steering is working but the warning light for the power steering goes of for a sec. and then back on when the engine is running. Should i calibrate the sensor first or is the error code in memory and should it be resetted first.
Hope someone could help me out.
Do al Mazda 3 from 2005 have a angle sensor at the steering gear or it depends on the year the car was made.
