I've never ever seen Angel Eye lights

Can someone that's seen them comment. Are they on the "ricey" side? Or actually cool looking.

I've been looking for some for a P5, Actually... all I could find though were DYI Tips.. umm.. since I'm not too Automotively inclined, I'd rather buy a pre-made set ... where'd ya find those, Newf ?

Angel eyes

Angel eyes are by no means "ricey". They first appeared on the BMW 5 series on '99 or 00 models, I think. They look tight. I'm mad that everything once it seems to be the norm becomes "ricey". Angel eyes look good period though.

*hopes to God the Angel eyes never become as Played-out as Altezzas *

The Day I See Angel Eyes on a Big Low-Ride Rusty ass Dualie Work Truck will be the day I trade my P5 in for a Daewoo

this is true! Hide them from that movie, fast and ?? i cant remember ;)-- hide them from those producers PLEASE

those are from ebay. Another member pointed them out to me. I've been wanting a smaller fog to fit in the 2003.5 with the lip. I don't think the mazda oem fogs will fit. Then again, Mine still aren't here so I can't test them. These are Hella's btw

hey, they don't look bad at all, and are defintely smaller then the stock fog....hmmm....huge possibility here.

Exactly!!

I've been lookin for lips for my car...and I know these angel eyes will clear the bottom lip of the 2003.5 MSP...now, does anyone want to sell me their lip...???? :D

These are definitely not rice. They're kraut. :D

Actually I really like how they look, but you need the HID kit up top to get it to match...otherwise it looks hella funky.

I'm amazed they are so cheap. Sounds too good to be true. What's the build quality like?

are they actually bright? or just for looks. And how long is that led supposed to last, and can it be replaced if it burns out?

I'm just waiting for my car to return home. woman took it to work (cringe!) and I'm going to measure everything up.

The angel eyes are actually just for looks, if I'm not mistaken-they are lighted by 2 LEDs, but when you switch to the fog, OH MY GOD!!! those are bright. I got them because they the factory fogs were not bright enough, plus I loved the angel eyes, so I had to go for it!!! You have 3 choices as far as the switch goes:
1. Angel eyes on only
2. All off
3. Fog light on only
the fogs are so bright that you won't be able to see the angel eyes if you turned them on anyways.
I've had them on for more than 6 months and no problems with either the angel eyes LEDs or fogs bulbs(I changed the H3 bulbs when I first got them...brighter than normal)....I'm not sure if you can change the LEDs...but if that was possible, then you could change the colors of the angel eyes!!! I turn on the angel eyes all the time at night since I have HIDs now and the fogs aren't nearly as bright as the HIDs...I've been pretty satisfied with them. I love these so much that I actually bought an extra set of these lights just in case something goes wrong with them :D

I think Angel eyes are already starting to become a bit ricey. I have seen kids with their little civics covered in stickers with unpainted body kits just bolted on and the aluminum wings - and some of them do have the angel eye headlights. It's a kewl looking thing, no doubt there.

For the most part, I would say that just about any mass produced mod will become "rice". I'd guess 60% of ricer kids are lazy, and will buy anything that looks kewl that is off the shelf. At least that is what it seems like to me. So when the angel eyes become available as a kit, which I believe they are already, you can count on lots of people running out and buying them. Pretty soon you see them on all the typical "ricer" cars, and now it's a "rice" mod.

Altezza's didn't look bad until I saw them all over the damn place. On a clean white or silver car, I still think they look good. But on a Blue Lexus IS300, with Blue Tinted windows, I think it looks pathetic. Some of these people who mod their cars have some really nice cars, but they mostly seem to just go too far.

That's why I am staying away from appearance mods. I'm half Puerto Rican, so it's in my blood. It would start off with new paintjob(same color, just better paint and some clearcoat - maybe a little metal flake) and a kit from Corksport, then move on to a carbon fiber hood, maybe the Eibach Pro Kit, then a set of 17 or 18 inch rims. Then I'm looking at color matching the interior to the outside of the car. Soon I've got Carbon Fiber Altezzas and every cop following me looking to write me a ticket. Every little Johnny Ricer following me looking to race. I end up getting tickets, people try to break into or steal my car, and I come on the forum bitching about how I want to find these punks and kill them. Now I'm working to pay for my car, and I'm totally obsessed. Barely making bills, my family and friends laugh at my car and wonder what I'm trying to compensate for. NEXT THING YOU KNOW I'M LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!

Yep, beware the path that leads to the darkside.

I'll stick with my sleeper.

I'm wondering if their even too small for the 2003.5 lip. I went out and measure then, and most of the hole is around 5" mark. If you stick them way inside, you'll get about 4.5". These hella's are supposed to be 4" round. Are they exactly 4"?

I wish someone would stick some fogs in a 2003.5 so I could see how they did it. I live so far away that if I order something and I don't like it I'm stuck with it. Then there's the fact that there is no mechanic here I trust to put them in correctly if there's any cutting involved.

...not sure what to do. I'm wondering if there will be too much space around the light, and if they'll look too funky with normal heads.

Nice to know that the led can be turned off though.

Ideally, I think the 2003.5 needs a 4.5-4.75" light. Or, get the stock, and have them sit out a little further where the hole is bigger.

Until I get a stock fog to try....everything is just a guess.

Are these angel eye's hard to get? On ebay alot?
