For the ~$32.5K price of that car, I'd rather have a loaded EVO8 (which IMO looks hideous next to RX-8), STi (thank god they fixed the bubble headlights), or even an RX-8.

There is more to the car than just what you see on the outside...How about the handling capability of the PPF (save the miata)? And a RWD fully independent suspension? Low polar moment of inertia?...FANTASTIC brakes?! Me personally I would never lay down that kinda money for a FWD or FWD based AWD. BUT, that is my taste, ergo what suits me may not suit everyone. Haven't been paying close attention to the market lately and I live smack in the middle of fly-over country, so there aren't very many around my home. I bought mine a few years ago. Low mileage stock (except for important reliability mods) for a bit over 16k, but had to go to Texas for it. Good luck on your search.

I got a buddy who is selling a 93 touring with black painted stock wheels. The car is mostly stock, except exhaust. You can steal it from him for $11K. but it's an auto...(sssh)

Oh, and nice choice of fd Signal. I love the R1s. One of my other RX-7 buds has a single turbo 20B in his 93 R1. *drooooooooooools* Despite 3 years of friendship, he still won't let me drive it...(rant)

That's the thing...everytime I find one for a good price, it's an auto. Well, anyways, I've got 14 grand saved up...I'd like to pick one up for around 11...but as you know with FD's you gotta find the right one.

Thanks Mazdaspeedgirl. The car is a hoot. I also had an FB several years ago and each car had unique qualities that you just couldn't find in anything else. Call it "just feels right" or "Zoom Zoom" or just "alot of bang for the buck". I'm sure the 8 delivers similarly.

BTW, when you get that collection. I don't know what I'll be more envious of, the cars or the garage space.

(lol) we temporarily are out of a garage too! we took over a friend's lease to help them out (hubby was going away for a school internship and wife had to stay here with the 'rents because she attends school here). So we have a storage shed for all the tools, workshop table, and stuff, but it just isn't as convenient to go tinker on the car on the weekends. Luckily I can do a bit at the dealership's shop after hours.
