Sorry to disappoint you..but you know what..that response was not at all neccessary.Anyway, everything is OK..And yes ,all of those scenarios could have been true..I agree with you on that one.I never said I was a Professional driver but i know am I way better than the average driver. If not I would have been on the front page of the paper. On the same note,If I was a smarter driver...I would have stayed put and not went for the drive at all.No matter what, things happen and people dont always make the right decision.I am sure you have done a few dumb things in your time.
I'm glad that no one got hurt, especially those that had no clue what was going on and that did not deserve it.I am not heartless and can recognize a mistake when i make one.I am just glad that no one got hurt, especially those that didn't have any part of it.
Thanks
Matt

well i think its just the fact that u keep makin it out like its all good cus your such a good driver.....same hting happened to me when i was 16 with only 2 months of driving alone unde rmy belt...but i swerved from hititn a deer and slide into oncoming traffic and countered back out and no one got hit and a accident....obviously u learned.....as stated...no one is a good driver.....avearage or not.....just learn from it and never do it again....my buddy had the same metallity, an dhe was a awesome driver, but that didnt help when he went 80+ into a concrete wall and lucky surivived with only a brusied ego......if that oncoming traffic was 20ft closer or you slide 10ft too far......ur driving didnt save you......luck was on your side....dont forget that

Matt

KpaBap - that reply was not for you.. I know who I was replying to... I was just coining your phrase...

ForceFed - Yup.. I am sure most everyone on this board has done something stupid while driving, I am no exception. To learn from those mistakes is what can make us more aware when we drive. I for one am glad that you learned a lesson from this.

Have you ever considered auto-x ?? Its a great place to practice some skills and gives you the place to take your car to its limits. Try it, its fun. Then next time your stang buddies want a test ride, take them for some auto-x fun rides, or better yet, get them to come out and try to beat your times. Its more fun to own them on the track, then to scare the s*** out of them on the streets :D and safer too.

You should have played it off and been like: " I told you the protege can drift even if it is a FWD car (evil) "

BTW... Are you aware you drifted that s*** you crazy mofo (drive) but in all seriousness becareful and good thing nothing bad happened. You should enter drift competitions now LOL

haha...a drift is considered a controlled loss of traction....i think forcefed bite the bullet on that since he pulled himself out of a loss of traction but ur suppost to start it on purpose to begin with :)

New bushings or not, going into a corner too hot and braking in the corner to make up for it will always send the ass-end around.

yup...

anywayz... yea same thing happend to me a few months back but i couldnt regain control, i looked at it this way.. i took a turn everyday going home from baseball practice, one day i decided to take that turn to show my friends what my car could do.. well somehow my tires broke loose and i slid into a curb sidewayz, the reason i thought of it was...A).tires were getting weared out, even though i made the turn the day before... it was getting pretty bald. B). added weight in the car, i hade 2 extra friends in the car added wieght might have made the inertia go that way more, which is harder to turn.. C). i was showing off...

so it was numerous reasons that you did that, but auto-x should help you find the limit of your car and tires very quickly.. even so.. dont turn into a turn at your limit, accel to the limit during the turn

well i felt like telling my story again, and i have nothing better to do right now so i typed up a long ass post that will serve naturally no purpose watsoever!

THE END

I'm sure it was the last one most likely. When you're showing off you tend to go faster without realizing it. I've had it happen to me before a couple times (where you look down and don't know how you go to be going that fast.)

The car can handle corners quite well, just remember though that anything can happen in a corner, loose gravel, tire could blow, this can be followed by an unexpected bowel movement by passengers or yourself...which could result in requireing cleaning and or new seats

At least you got a lesson from this without a high cost to yourself or to others. This is speaking from escaping narrowly from doing something extreamly dumb myself. As well as not escaping from someone doing something crazy which resulted in them smashing into my car and leaving me with a spine injury.

It definately beats my returning my rental mazda 3 with a racoon stuck in the ratiator blocking the fan story. Glad to hear you and your friends are ok.

I totaled a friends GSR and my moms BMW being a jackass kid showing off!!!!

my only excuse was showing off!!!!

Also adding 200lbs plus to a car will make it handle worse! Iniertia is a b****!
