All P5 auto transmissions the same?

I was wondering if the manual shift option transmissins were the same as the regular autos. I would assume they are the same just controlled differently by the computer. Anyone know for sure?

You are correct, the difference is the ECU and the shifter, the transmissions are the same.

So, is it the same transmission in the other Proteges? I know in Civics different models have different gearing.

It would have taken less time to answer the question. I'm pretty sure anybody could find anything without getting on this site. So, what is the point of having this site in the first place? Why don't they shut it down and everybody Google everything? I thought the whole point was to discuss our cars with other people with the same intrests. EVERYTHING has been covered at some point somewhere. This is the only site I go to where people act like this. Pointless.
