i just got home from NTB a lil bit ago after trying to get my 4 wheel alignment. They were quick to tell me that i should get a camber kit, that the car will never align properly again, and the supplier of the springs should have gave new alignment specs with the springs.
:wtf:
They didnt have MP3 specs in the computer anyways so i had to go get specs today, so i can go have it done tomorrow.

Do i need a "camber kit"? I was under the impression they arent needed.

Also they are trying to say a "lowered vehicle alignment is 89.00 in stead of 59.00 for a non lowered car because of the difficulty.
I would take it some where else, but i dont trust anyone else around here with my car, i stopped by a few other places and it was a bunch of kids that looked clueless.

shoudl be able to find an alignment for 30$ at a good shop, lowered or not, and no you don't need a camber kit.

THey just want your $$.

Try getting an alignment at a mazda dealer, they will have all the up to date align numbers... may cost a little more than 30 tho

yeah the best place to go to is mazda. it will cost you around $90 but you know it will be down right.

I was told by a few people not to go to the dealer. i hear they do a bad job. I was told to go to a tire specialist.

well working at a dealership like mine, I woudl hope you are wrong

If I am not mistaken, NTB is owned by Sears, and Sears sucks big ones. Everywhere I've been(NY, FL, VA) they seemed not to know what the H*** they were doing. I would say find somewhere else. Also, when I had Neuspeed Springs on my old car, they recommend -1 deg. of camber on all four corners.

i went to NTB before with a set of 17" wheels to have new tires mounted on their machine.. they told me they can't do 17" wheels with such low profile tires.. my buddy had lower profile tires mounted on his 18" wheels at the same shop with no problem.. but NTB wouldn't do it for me.. so i went to Sears and they mounted them with no problems and told me the guys at NTB are morons because they have the same equipment at sears since they are the same company.

oh great.. and now i've contributed to the thread hi-jack!! youch!!

Ok just got back.I went to NTB, the guys at my local NTB are great, very helpful and i like how they let me in the back while they are working on my car. They were very impressed at how close my allignment was, only thing that needed adjusting was the toe in the front. Everything else was right where it was suppose to be, i got to see for myself on his computer. It ended up costing 59$

I chose NTB because i hate my dealer, and all the other local shops are bad and have 16 year old kids doing the alignments. I have had nothing but good experience with them. They even got me 50% off my last set of SP9000's.
thanks for the help

they did my 17's with no problems, i went to STS when i had a flat, and they wouldn't work on my rims. They said there machine would scuff them up.

I too avoided the Mazda dealer for cost reasons and for blatantly mentioning I dropped my car :). $49 at a local shop got me a 4-wheel alignment. I just printed the specs from the illegal shop manual that everybody bitches about and got it done. After 2 months, my tires seem to be wearing just dandy.
