Alex's Mz2 Build Thread!

Thanks man :$ Hopefully we can get the local crew to meet up soon! Hopefully nicer weather is ahead of us.. ******* Canadia, I tell ya.

Eh. I'm 50/50 for this Thursday's meet, MIGHT show up, depends how I feel after work. That Monday meet though? I'm all-in if I don't work during that time.

Let me know if you decide to go to that meet on Thursday Art.. If you go, or one other local 2 goes, I'll go.

Monday I have night school, but I dip early from there anyway, so I can probably be there by 8:30ish

I'm lucky that in my area, they are popular.. thus giving me greater opportunities to meet other guys with a true interest in the car (which I'm lucky enough to have met ).

It'd be cool to get some sort of Mazda 2 gathering, or national Mazda meet, or something.. If it exists out there, as of right now I'm ingnorant to it.

Update to the thread, finally got my Sub/Amp installed, and got a "quick release" setup on my front bumper now. It actually kind of fits!! Pics will come tomorrow

I missed last year's :(.... Hopefully I can make it to this year's

No pics today of the bumper and other stuff.. Had a lonnggg day today.

I think I wanna turbo my car....

Are you talking about the meets that are on the Ontario Mazda Club on fb? If they weren't on weekdays I'd take the trip up north over the border.

Oh hey! I remember this place... Been busy stacking my paper, and working my ass off to be able to get some s*** for my car.. nothing major happening yet, but I have some thoughts.

In the mean time, here's a pic of ground clearance I'm twerking with.. took this without my front bumper on:

Gotta be more than that... He was ~3" down already... Thats just insane, is that really your bell housing? A solid pebble would nail that!

It really is that low. Should have taken a side-by-side to compare, haha.

We should've god damnit!

Is that ~3 inches?

If you're talking lowered from stock, it's more 4-6 inches.. more towards the latter even. Clearance to the ground?.. At the lowest point, which is the subframe, it's right around 1.5"-1.75". With a new wheel setup I'm scoping, it'll be closer to an inch, or just under ;)

Yes, that really is my bellhousing! I was looking at that, and even I was thinking "Dammnnn that tranny's low :D".
