Its a couple of blocks of road that alot of younger people go to hang out and drive around displaying thier vehicles or systems or just triing to show off in front of others. There is alot of ricers and such out on the weekends as well as motorcyclists. There is a group of motorcyclist that get together in a taco bell parking lot to hang out or whatever. I used to ride a motorcycle out there on the weekends but i have since sold it due to high car payments!!!!!!! I am still triing to decide if it was worth it!!!!! (shrug)
No really i love my P5 and i think it was worth it but i do miss the bike lots. (sad1)
Anyway there is alot of girls out on the strip as well. But the po-po is out in force triing to get street racers and show offs so its kind hot on the weekends.

Well the pre-meet was good (all three of us made it this time)!! Anywho, i am guessing that we are deciding to meet at Outback Steak house on the 3rd of July instead of the original plan.

So the BBQ is off? Regardless, I would still like to meet up at that park instead. Take some pics of the Alaska peeps and out rides, hang out a bit, etc. Then we could go for a drive and take more scenic pics (we are in prime real estate for scenic pics guys) and then perhaps hit the Outback. I just want a steak and a beer, if there is a better place down there I am game.
Or we can always do the drive after dinner, not like we're losing any daylight or anything.
What exactly did you guys decide on last night? Mellow? AlaskaP5? akpro?

hummmmm well AlaskaP5 said sumthin bout Outback?? Doesnt matter to me what we do. He did check out that park that we had plans for and he saw no BBQ pit. So i think we just decided on eating out instead. we know of good places to take pics as well so dont worry about that just pray that we have nice weather.

We could still meet at the same park mentioned in the posts above becuase it is next to one of the better twisty roads in anchorage.

As for places to eat, if we are really up for it, we could go to girdwood and get pizza. Lots of good places to take pictures on that route. Just throwing out ideas here.

YES... see that's what I'm looking for, a nice drive, pics, and some good eatin'
I plan on leaving at 10am... I hope to make it in 5 or 5.5 hours. So that puts me in Anchorage at about 3pm so... to late you think?

I dont think thats too late. it might be about right if your ok for driving for another hour or so after you get into anchorage, thats also depending if we decide to go to girdwood. hey girdwood sounds good to me (drive) (rockon) . Hey Wes if you wanna meet up some where near the Elmo when you get into town let me know. I know my way around here pretty well.
