I have searched and haven't been able to find anything similar to whats happening to mine.
When i arm the alarm (lock the doors) the lights flash once, and all seems good.
Then I intentionally set of the alarm by kicking the tire. Now the fun part. Instead of the horn beeping repeatedly like it is supposed to, it just cones on and stays on. I try disarming with the remote, but get nothing. The doors unlock but the horn is still blaring. The horn wont shut up until I actually get in a start the car. Turning the key doesn't help, the engine actually has to start running.
For now I have turned the sensitivity way down, but I want to get this fixed.
Even when the alarm is not on (like when I'm driving) the red light on the dash is still on with a dim glow.
Has anyone heard of this before?
