Al Sharpton will invade China for this

how old does the software have to be when it turns "dark brown" into "n-word brown", like 200 years old? lol

yeah its a bad mistake... but the word n***** was not originally a racial slur.... I cant blame a chinese company for use of the word, they dont know its racial meaning in america... so how is it necessarilly their fault? They fixed the error... what more should be done?

thats like getting mad @ spanish-speaking county because they use the word negro to define a black car that you bought...

the fact that a black person actually bought the couch is merely coincidence, to the point of it being kinda funny...

EDIT: I can see being mad over the incident - but sueing a company for an honest mistake?

maybe i shouldn't order my cracker ass white couch.
People that won't sit on the couch seem to take it a bit too far. It's a brown couch, just sit down already.

LMAO - and the couch is already purchased... youre only making yourself uncomfortable by not sitting on it... thats not really taking a stand for anything (well actually, they are taking a stand... by not taking a seat)

the chinese company is gonna ask them if they want to settle for 200k yin.
the familys gonna be like "200k? we can finally pay off our donk! hell yeah we'll take it!"
a week later they get a check in the mail for $13.62

"Something more has to be done. We don't just need a personal apology, but someone needs to own up to where these labels were made, and someone needs to apologize to all people of color," Moore said. "I had friends over from St. Lucia yesterday and they wouldn't sit on the couch."
Wow. Get over it. Somebody (who doesn't really speak the language) made a mistake. Somebody Chinese, by the looks of it. Last I heard, the Chinese were considered "People of color", so they need to apologise to themselves for not knowing english slurs?

It's definately something to sue over. (jerkit) Perhaps they could press charges and get the death penalty for the couch salesman, too. (321fu)

Its really disgusting how Americans continue to define themselves through past experience and mistakes can no longer be forgiven. We are not equals and as long as we keep these views a bold line will exist between all races.

maybe if white people starting calling each other the n-word for a few generations, and black people called each other cracker as well, everything would cancel itself out.

edit: i hate having to type "n-word" but not having any trouble typing honkey, redneck, cracka (or cracker or wheat-thin), whitey, etc. white people need at least one word that has to be edited, right? that way we can all be equal?

Maybe if our society cared about the good of the community and not the individual it wouldn't matter.

So true. I was called a cracka ass cracka earlier this week. I was listening to E40, so I took it out and jammed some 101 Proof for them. May as well. It is sad though because I have interracial family members and my son doesn't use their color to describe which cousin he is talking about. At least I am doing everything I can to teach my kids that color is not important.

+1

Funny story. I can se the lady being embarrased about it and the difficulty of having to use her brain to explain this "error" to a child, but the rest is BS.
Friends won't sit on the couch? F-U and get a life.
