I noticed that on the stock map too i might just go get it dyno tuned.

I'm going to be going on the 17th, get your af's and send them to dsm and he said he could make a custom map for your car.

yep just send me the A/Fs and I'll make adjustments accordingly....more than likely everyone is going to have a slight stutter now and then due to the fact that we had to richen the maps up a tad for the wide variation of conditions. Hehe we got some of you guys in 20 degree blizzards and others in 75 degree summer air...as you know its hard to tune fuel maps with a 55 degree temperature variation...but as you guys become familiar with the software and begin to tune yourselves we'll have a better collection of specific maps for different weather conditions and mods...

Ya i'll let u know when i get the dyno.. I'm also using an ODB2 reader on the new map to make sure everything is ok.

DSM, did you get my email?

and noclue, let me know when your going to dyno ill go with you, need to get mine done also

I have to give DSMConvert and Split Second for putting together a nice unit. I installed mine today and the instructions were great and the install went quickly and easily. The only thing I could find to complain about is that a T fitting for the vaccuum line was not included so I had to run out to a few stores to find one.

So far the car feels good and pulls smoothly. Right now it's sitting in my glovebox until I find a good place to mount it this week.

DSM, is the unit you're using one with the built in MAP? Also, could you use this to run a MAP instead of a MAF? I dunno if I asked you this before, but I'm curious, 'cause it might work better than I first thought for my application. =)

first impressions were incredible.....for some reason I have no traction through 2nd gear now, and I absolutely love it.......The install took about an hour and went very smoothly, the hardest part was getting the ecu out and getting the vaccum hose through the firewall. It didn't come with a t-fitting, but all that took was a trip to Pep Boys and $2 and I had what I needed. The hose off the AFC is 1/8" incase anybody needs to know what it is.......the hose I was tapping into was 3/16" which is probably the same as most of you have. I mounted mine in the glovebox and it looks great, I mounted it at the top so that the glove box is still useable when I have the laptop plugged into it. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

are you guys using mbc's or ebc. i have a joep mbc but i'm concerned about overboosting w/ built in fcd. should i wait till i get a ebc before i run any boost w/ this unit. thanx.

kicker you should be fine with the joepmbc...though I as I said before I dont suggest running over 10psi(overall engine weakness, not b/c of the afc), which is well below fuel cut. Invoices were just sent out, so I will start shippin them out as the money comes in....

arite coo, i'll run my mbc then.

dsm, when you suggest not running over 10psi, are you saying that for people who are stock, or even people w/ the supporting mods such as cai, fmic, and dp/exhaust?

other members have said our engines could handle 9psi safely w/ a flash, and 12psi unflashed w/ supporting mods.

i'd like to get a map dyno tuned for 12-14psi for occational use, but if you don't think its a smart idea, i won't bother.

i think the general concencous is that 10psi you can run safely, and regardless of supporting mods, when you run 12psi you are really pushing the stock rod limitations as well as possibly running out of safe timing supplied by the stock ecu...

daedalus nailed it...the rods just dont like all that boost.....and in regards to flashed vs. unflashed...I highly suggest getting flashed....the timing fix is a good thing....

I think there's already been two, and now I think he has them for sale individually.....shoot him a pm or email and he will get back to you in a day or so and let you know what's up.

nope no more GBs....I'm sold out of stock again...should have more in a week or so...I'd suggest you get on the waiting list as most of these have already been claimed....

okay.. so can i get on that list =D and also.. can i get a shippin $ to 77083 the price is 310 and then add the shipping.. correct?
