hahahahahaha!(crazy)

Well,it came in a little white box that I picked up from john in a Walmart parking lot.The unit was wraped in plastic inside said little box.I got back in my car and drove home very slowly(still breaking in the new clutch) and when I got home, I watched a little bit of T.V then I went to bed.....

About two or three day later I installed the unit and managed to Fu** up my glove box while putting the ECU back in place. Then I ate dinner washed up and then I went on a test drive (still driving slowly).then after my break-in mile's were complete I kindly romped on the car for a little bit and said: "Damn This Thing Feel's Great"

Then I called john to report my findings, and to tell him the unit kicked ass!

Anything else you need to know about just let me know.;)

well what did you eat? What was on tv? j/k that sounds great cant wait for mine!! Your not suppose to mess up the glove box!!......you do know that right
HAHAHAHA

oh ya take off ur glove box before working on the afc. it takes 2 secs to do and it saves your glove box for being strached. look up the how to on it.

Has anybody written up a how to with pictures for this yet? I am very interested, but still concerend with warranty ( half the reason i bought this car).

are all the wires it needs to splice into near each other or is it req'd to run a bunch all over the place?

I just read all 14 pages and didnt come up with an answer to my question.

is there a way to easily convert it back to stock?

All the wires to splice are together...you splice right by the ECU connector which is under the passenger side carpet.

You could convert back to stock by ripping it out and putting the stock wires back together, but you'd have to pull apart the passenger side again.

If you're worried about warrenty, don't do ANYTHING to your car.

Yes besides the whole worrying thing you can turn your car back to stock easily as long as you have a laptop. Just put the stock map on instead of the new awsome one and uless the dealer see's the actual unit its like its not even there, it wont be changing anything.

Yea its a pretty easy install the directions are great.

Yea its really not obvious looking at all, I have mine in my glove box with my sirius receiver and it doesn't look like any type of mod.

Sounds good. I'm sold. I realize i'm taking risks with the warranty by fooling with stuff. i just dont want to get it voided cuz of something stupid and unrelated to the problem, like i've read so many times on this board. now if i lean it out way to much and blow it up, thats my own fault and i'm not gonna try to get a free engine out of the deal. I'm getting to know the guys at my local dealership so hopefully they will be cool with some stuff.

thanks for the quick replys

i have a question about a timing controller. i know it was stated a FTC may be in the works, a unit that controls both air/fuel & timing, but will anything be developed to control timing in conjuction w/ the psc1 unit that many people bought in the group buys? Or maybe perhaps a core exchange for people who may want to upgrade to the FTC in the future?

has the Q. been answered yet "does this AFC get rid of fuel cut?" i have looked thru ever thread and have not found an answer.

Yes it does, I ran my car at 10 psi when it was high 20's to low 30's and it didn't hit fuel cut, unless trying to boost from too low of an rpm in 3rd.

does anyone have the software posted? I bought an aic controller from split second, and i am in need of the r4 software.

Does anyone know where this is or would be kind enough to send it to me or allow me to download it?

THey didn't send the software with the AIC? I bet they could send it to you if you contacted split second directly. www.splitsec.com
I might be able to send it to you later tonight, but I'm still at work right now.

well, i bought it second hand from my buddy in town for 80 dollars lol. it is 300 normally, so i got a steal, it is just that split second wont send me the software since i didnt purchase it "from" them directly.

Essentially, if i could just have someone email me the software or host it, or even burn me a disk and send it to me (ill cover shipping for priority mail), i can start trying to tune this aic controller for the msp.

My email address is laub@umich.edu if anyone could help me out by sending me the software.

Thanks again peepsalot, or anyone willing to email it to me.
