Aggressive fitment anyone?!

Gana test fit some 16x8 +0's here in a couple days. Hopefully i can get them working.

Lookin forward to pics of this nonsense... (wiggle)

(toilet)

And I was supposed to test fit some 16x8 +35 rpf1's last night. But due to the coolant leak I had, I wasn't able to meet up last night, as I had to tear down my cooling system and replace gaskets. Cutting my own gaskets from a sheet of gasket material worked out really well, tho... No leaks, now. :D

go more aggressive offset.......unless ur goin for just flush, then these would be well fitted

they look nice too :)

17x8 +35 I'm going to have to borderline pull my quarter panels. I'm not stretching 195 sidewalls on there, lol. I have to factor some rubber into the equation...

17x7 +40 (my current setup) already rubs (because it's already flush). 17x8 +35 will be ~17mm (almost 3/4") past where I am now. (crazy) I've seen about 5 setups on 3rd gen protege's that are more aggressive than that. Especially that will be running 225/45R17. ;)

^I'm not including track setups... That's different, lol.

wait...im 17x7 +40??? u must have bigger tires than me

and i think if ur runnin 17 by 8 +35, wont u be stretchin tire? unless you camber?

im just tryin to get a better sense of where the offset and tire combos fit on our cars.

This thread is going downhill in a hurry... Aggressive, means you don't just put the wheels on and drive away. It takes work and planning to get proper aggressive fitment. Whether you like a moderate offset & fat tires, or a super low offset and skinny tires. It will be different on every car, as is obvious when people run proteges with 17x8 +30 and that's damn near hellaflush, whereas on an s13, that s*** would be hellasunk. So, go get some wide wheels, lower the offset, fit the most tire as you possibly can, and stfu...

I had to plan. I had to figure out which size spacers to run, which tires would work best, AND get my fenders rolled. Just because I don't have rubber band tires doesn't mean it's not aggressive.

Why run a wide wheel when you have to run a skinny tire? (hand) Complete waste.

Please let that discussion die, for real. Its so overkilled its insane, some want a wide rim and stretched tire, some don't. Not much more to add to that so leave it alone.

^ (yes) people get so caught up on right and wrong when its really all about like or dislike. all comes down to taste on many issues like this.

My edumacated guesse
195/45 with a decent fender pull and good amount of negative camber might do the trick, plus the stretch would look halfway decent.

I'm running 215/45R17. And I will be pushing my limits @ +35 without stretching tire, yes. Thats why I was going to stay around 17x8 +40, but hell I can make it work, haha. The 215 tires on there should work... With a more aggressive fender roll.

Why did you quote me? When did I say that you should run the skinniest tire possible? (unamused)

how do I say this properly.....

******* AWESOME.

I think that covers it.

Probly gonna try to contact that guy soon... ;)
