Aggressive fitment anyone?!

well 35 + 5mm is super low offset.

i've run 35mm with 215s but it was rubbing and thats with 1 degree of camber.

30mm.. crazy

215's, thats your problem, if u want to run low offset u pretty much have no choice but to stretch the tire lol

i would love to see someone actually run a wide rim WITH low offset
i was thinkin, when i get some money, to start buying rims to test fit

buy just one rim, and one tire and see if it fits, i was thinkin rpf1's 17x8.5 +30

problem is that the fender will hit the rim.

tires can be streched and shoved inside the fender but when the rim is poking out. there's not much that can be done.

i'm thinking about puling the trigger on some 15x9 +36mm to run with 205/50/15 toyo r888. but running into some issues.

has anyone stretched or seen a stretched r comp?

will there be enough space with awr coilovers for it to clear a 9"

my downpayment has been paid now and the rims are being built.

they are a set of fully polished CCW LM20s 17x9 +38 with 3" polished lips. the tires are 205/40/17 Falken Azenis RT-615 with Neo Chrome ARP wheel bolts and Project Kics Neo Chrome lug nuts.

heres basically the EXACT setup (wheel and lip size, and full polish) but with CCW classics instead of LM20s

Stepping up to a larger tire soon. Just ordered an eastwood fender roller and finishing tool to prep for it.

I hope they work scott.

any idea when they'll be in?

oh they will def fit.. ive been figuring this out for a loooong time. and have tested it to make sure.

with a little strut modification (a little euro trick i learned) i could actually fit 9.5s... but i want to run the 9s for now.. i might up to 9.5s after this summer and sell these wheels.

btw jeff, if you are stretching tires (sure hope you choose not to do R compounds still) then 15s will be WAY to small for our arches. my first plan with CCWs was to run 16s and after hours of talking with Dan from CCW, testing wheels and fitments for me, he proved that with the stretch they looked really funny and didnt give the full look i was going for (although i usually love smaller wheels with nice beefy tires). especially having dish makes them look even smaller.

running anything more then 8.5 is tricky as you basically have to be BANG on to get them to fit. it took us 3 weeks of measurements to figure out how thin of a mounting pad (the part of the wheel that mounts onto the rotor hub that the lugs go through) i could run to clear the brakes without being too much to push the wheels out too far or downsize my lip.

to run wheels this wide, you almost HAVE to go custom, as there are soooo many variables that will make them not work, that you usually never think about.

these will arrive around april/may. i need to finish paying them off (sell my BBS to fund the rest) before they will mount the tires or do the Neo Chrome coatings i want.

scott, that's sick as **** dude. perfect!!

i've got speed3 wheels for the lx. i'm not sure which color to go with on them though...

i need some forged rods!

scott, those ccw's are giong to be incredible man I can't wait to see the final outcome.

I've got a set of 17x9s on the way due to be here in march thanks to wheeldude, but got a few questions for you since you've done research on the subject. Pm coming your way.

Silver5, i love your setup man. vary nize!

I honestly think it rubbing will not be much of an issue especially with pull and roll you have. You had plenty of space when we test fitted that tire. Im excited to see the car with the 215s when they get put on.

What national msp meet? If you speak of the one wagon created, that plane crashed and burned w/ the price tag of 20k on it.
