Hey all,

Looking to find out what you have, how you like it, and general info on harnesses...

Basically I'm buying a driver's seat (stock no longer an option) and am in need of knowledge on how the harnesses are secured without that god awful harness bar behind the front seats. Do they bolt in the stock seat rail posts? Snap in the seat edges themselves as an alternative?

Any info you have, feedback on your current setup or advice would be awesome.

i was also wondering about this... would like to see how the 08 speed3 seats fit. Ive seen them before but would like to know what you actually have to do to make the switch

before you even think of seats make sure your p5 doesn't come with side airbags because that is a problem. there is a way around it but when you start messing with safety equipment you really have to ask yourself is it worth it. Also you don't want an airbag to accidentally go off, that is just all kinds of bad.

if you don't have side airbags then definitely go for it. if I didn't have the damn airbags I would have gotten seats way back. I have heard good things about Corbeau seats from people on here and they are very reasonably priced. There is always bigger name brands like Sparco and Momo, and you can't go wrong with them really but the price is going to be very high.

as for the harness belts, i am fairly certain you absolutely need the harness bar, which is actually a good thing. remember even though you have racing seats doesn't mean you need to wear the harness belts every time. most smart people just use those when auto-xing or things like that. other wise they can become a hassle and your backseat becomes a death trap in many ways. imagine having to get in and out of your car a lot with them, it can become tedious having to re-attach the 5 or 6 point belts every time. as for the harness bar, remember u are basically adding a strut bar to the middle of your car, bye bye body roll and it can be removed whenever you want rather easily.

as for the speed 3 seats, they fit with some slight modification to the foam. I can't remember if it is the back seats or the front but I want to guess and say the rears. this of course is not including the customizing you need to do to the seat brackets.

hopefully that answers some your questions but again I don't have first hand experience with them in the p5, just other peoples cars and from hearing about it on here.
