Aftermarket rims???

I was just curious if anyone is planning on changing the rims on their MSP. I'm thinking of adding Tenzo Mean 6 rims to mine. Don't know if I'll actually do it or not. I'd stick with the stock 17x7" because I don't want to change any of th e handling characteristics of the car. Anyone know what I would be able to sell the stock rims for? Think I could get $400 or more? Is anyone else going to change them?

Pete

i would be interested in buying them from you i will give you 400 if they are not chiped or anything, but i wont be able to do it until april or so

black03speed - I don't think if you upsided the tire and wheel combo that it would affect the handling chararteristics. I'm sure as long as you maintain the overall wheel diameter you should have awesome if not, perfect handling. Just stick within size, and nothing should affect it.

Why not go with 18's? You might regret seeing the wheel gap after going 17's again, unless you happen to lower. Think about it, 215/35/18 combo with 18 x 7.5" rims. Lower one/ two inch ---> :D

It's only when you mess around with the suspension components you might lose out on handling. Regardless, i've heard Spool Springs actually enchance the handling.

Hi,

I've heard that Tenzo wheels are of questionable quality... No personnal experience with them though. Considering the factory MSP wheels are made by Racing Hart I'd stick with them... unless you want a different size or a lighter wheel.

selling our nice rims for 400? i thought they were custom made from racing hart... i'd say it should be at least 500 or more each =D

I didnt sell the rims to the guy, for the simple fact that you cant buy the Mazdaspeed Edition Racing Hart's, period. They were made for our cars and the production run on the rims is over.
Rock On ...

Yeah i know..
that sucks, eh. Just the temptation that w can get good money for our wheels for larger or better wheels.
Then what if, somewhere down the road we want our RH's back...aurgh.
Is that $500 USD? or CAN??

i had two of mine replaced due to a mechanic and an airgun mishapse.

Anyhow. Dealers cost at the time was over 500.00 before tax...EACH.

This was the MP3 rims.

I'd imagine the MSP are near the same. try www.mazdastuff.com.

Dude you can get the MSP Racing Hart wheels at any dealer. They even have a MSP accesory book with the part # for the rims. Too much $$$$ tho, what a scam.Limited edition wheel, i dont think so. Just like you can buy the MP3 wheels at any dealer.

you think the run is over, so did we with the mp3 rims, but isn't it odd that you can still buy them from mazda....
