Aftermarket 12v adaptor

My wife is wanting a 12 volt adaptor for her P5 so she can use her radar detector and be able to charge her cell phone? Any ideas?

Radio Shack should have a 'Y' adaptor.

what i did was hardwire the radar to the accesory wire to open up the spot for the cig lighter. keeps everything clean looking.

You could also pic your favorite 12v cig bus adapter (one with 2-5 plugs all in one casing) and hardwire that into the accessory circuit, and mount it on the side of the center console on the passenger side.
Been debating doing this myself.

How difficult would hardwiring it in be?

I just ran a power cable from my battery to power all my stuff, making sure it was all fused properly of course

makes it so everything runs fine while the car starts and shuts down etc
