AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

well i think most of the time its unintentional...but not to be rude but lets keep this discussion in another thread...this thread is meant for maps and discussion

I didn't get any answer about running the Supermap on a FMIC...

Is the FMIC map only to give it extra *humph* or will I have stalling or other issues? (I'm installing my FMIC next sunday so I'd like to know)

Hey guys, I opened up the winter fmic map on the R4 software and I only saw one different value compared to the normal fmic map... is that normal?

I've had a dsm afc installed for a little while now and was wondering if anyone has fuel cut problems around 5500rpms. I'm at 10psi wot untuned.
i have a injen cai, ghl 3", begi fmic as far as performance bolt-ons.

I'm getting my exhaust welded and installed tomorrow. I'll post my updates about that fuel cut issue in the next week or so after runnnig it for a few days.

Hey Sander,
I have been running one too for a short while. Definate fuel cut around that range. I am analyzing the exact number and tuning. Will let u know. I have a JoeP FCD on standby ready to install.

thanks man I appreciate the help and I'm glad I'm not the only one with this probem. I hope when i get a good tune at 9psi it will cure the fuel cut.

eeeeeeek! i would highly advise against running the fcd with the afc...the fcd kills the signal feed...which inturn will throw the afc into a fit(ie engine go boom)....hmm not sure why you guys are hitting fuel cut...are you positive its fuel cut...there are several members running upwards of 14psi without hitting fuel cut....but as you mentioned it could also be a very bad tune for your application...if tuned properly you shouldnt hit fuel cut(certainly not in the summer) till atleast in the area of 12-13ish psi...now keep in mind that is for the stock t25...turbos that flow more cfm are going to hit the cut at a lower psi...

John,
Am holding off installing the FCD, at least until I can afford to rebuild my motor. Anyway, regarding the tune, any input from you would be GREATLY appreciated. Any thoughts on specific cells in the R4 SW that I can tweak to cure this issue? Pls PM me, I have talked with someone at length at Split Second about using the software. There doesnt seem to anyone uploading maps for the MSP.

Prior to purchasing my unit, it was my understanding that we could send you dyno's and you would remap it for our cars. Is my understanding incorrect? I tried to address this question with you some time ago and never received a reply, but it would solve a lot of these problems.

I understood this to be the case too? Please advise....

Yes this is the case, I apologize if I overlooked a response to this question before. However please note this only applies to the original purchaser of the AFC. If you send me a dyno map, with a/f ratios, I can usually revamp the map for a better overall tune, but tuning while on the dyno is still the best option. Remember that changing one value will have an effect on all the values after it. Now while I can usually predict what else a value change will affect due to my experience, i'm still not as perfect as having a dyno put load on at that value and seeing what else needs to be tweaked...this is why dyno tuning often takes hours...as tuners must adjust values and see what happens and then readjust here and there to fine tune it. Earful send me an email with your problem and I will try and get back to you by the beginning of next week.

i am runnning the stock map on 10psi and my car is running like crap. I think the afc might be malfunctioning because my gas mileage is awful. I think its msfiring too, because when i hit in second gear the engine stutters and spits black clouds out of the exhaust.
Does anyone have and problems with the stock map at 10psi. Also, I am installing an atp turbo wastegate actuator tomorrow because I think the stock one is crapping out. There is a shop near by that will tune so hopefully that will cure my problems.
Any advice would be great
