Radio Shack has some terminals (pins) and plugs also. Google: AMP Connectors
I love doing nice wiring harnesses ( i am graduating electrical enginner, finally)
but I just worry about giving mazda ideas to annoy me.
Your set-up is clean and definitively the way to go. Solder creates a bit of noise in the wiring harnesses and it is not ideal and those clamps might not give the best connection.
quality butt splices and connectors are the way to go.
if one day i have a bit of time i will see how is the setup of the ECU.
I never actually removed the carpet.
thanks for the info again.
