The PCV valve is located in the middle of your valve cover
So underneath the MazdaSpeed cover?
Yeah, take that off, and look at your valve cover, then find the middle of your valve cover with your finger, then keep your finger on it and go back toward your intake manifold, and at the back/center of your valve cover you will find your pcv valve. It has the vacuum hose attached to it.
Thanks the picture!
Some guy in a previous post was saying that he found the PCV a little, like 2mm, out of the gourmet, and that the gourmet was a little loose. The rubber seal for the PCV is very dried and so not securing the PCV valve on the valve cover well. He said he just pushed it back in there.
So that means that the PCV valve connection with the valve cover is only sealed by that gourmet?
Thanks
Hello, I am still looking for a solution to this problem. It idles bad (wants to die) for about 30 seconds, then corrects itself and runs normal 700 rpm idle. This only started after the AFC install and I have has it installed for 1 month now. It idled beautifully before. I am just discouraged because it makes the car run so much better in general, but if it cannot idle correctly at start-up, whats the point? What could be causing the AFC to do this at startup?
I noticed 2 things, one was that my oil catch can tube was collapsed and leaking, so first check everywhere for vac leaks, even small ones that don't show up on your boost gauge (hope you have one), and then I would just check anything out of the ordinary under the hood, I noticed that when I uploaded the map again it ran better, so just make sure all your settings are correct and upload the stock map, should make it run better for the most part, if not than there is a good chance you either didn't connect your wires completely well, or if you did, that there is something else up with it like your settings, map that your loading or vac lines going to the system, check all that.
what are your mods, might help with figuring that out
