AEM opinion

my engine is completely stock. im planning on getting an aem, and i was wondering which color for the intake would look better: polished silver or red?

im leaning more to red so it matches the bar

but any thoughts ???

I'd go with silver, that way you won't be locked into red later, you could go with any color scheme you wanted.

Short Ram only available from AEM

Hey man, I would check out INJEN instead of AEM. Of course AEM is the bomb and has a very good rep for the best intakes, but they only make a short ram intake for our car which = ASS. Definitely checkout www.injen.com for cold air induction kits. They also have a link comparing Dynos of the new AEM V2, (not available yet for us) to the RACE DIVISION 1 or 2 piece. I'll be getting my CAI from injen this monday, if you'd like I'll let you know how the car runs with the new mod.

I wouldn't go as far as saying short ram=ass. The diffrences between gains of a short ram and CAI are negligable with our cars.

That being said just go on over to e-bay and get you one. Especially if your ever planning on going F/I.

i'm getting the aem only because i don't think that the extra money is worth it. The gains aren't really that noticable, and i don't really have the cash `=)

Although the injen does look better, i'll be happy with an aem

I love my AEM but I don't think you can go wrong with Injen either, both make quality products and both companies have R&D departments. (unlike Ractive or the "ebay intake") It's personal prefrence. I was looking at the red one as well to match the strutbar only to find out that it doen't match. The intake is a much deeper red metallic.

go for looks, injen and AEm doesn't make big diffrences in performace but I would go with CAI
