question.... for people that have seen both the injen and aem intakes installed on a p5... are there any clearance issues with the aem elbow, as apposed to the injen one, which i know fits like a glove?

if that is the case...do you think that the injen elbow (the flexible rubber one) can be swapped in place of the steel elbow provided by aem?

discuss amongst ya'selves... then post.

thanks!

go with injen. i have seen the AEM elbow rub. ebay has the cheap CAI's with the plastic elbows. just change the filter. peace

my injen was great then i sold it, and bought a aem, and I got a hole in it from rubbing, and there are proabably nice little aluminum particles in my motor

Had the aem shorty and switched to the The injen CAI. It sounds better and fits in there perfect. Don't see a prob with it.

If you want the best, buy the Injen... I did and I'm completely satisfies with it. If you don't want the best, then get an imitation or something less. Engineering is everything.

yea i have injen and love it, i know alot of ppl know quality parts cuzu can get the cheap on off ebay or whatever but ima name ***** as well plus good craftsman is expected from injen not for imitation

i havent had any problems with my AEM. tho the injen is louder when accelerating.

injen soft mount screw

i actually have an injen... the purtty black piping edition... but i took it off when i had warranty work done... and now i lost the soft mount thing... those who have an injen know what im talking about (the double sided screw mount with rubber surround)

any idea where i can get that mount???

see in these pics by suliman (thanks) you can see a bit the elbow pipe part of the aem behind the MAF... i think the injen rubber flexible elbow can be used in its place and connect directly to the MAF... what does everyone think?

I personally like my AEM short ram, fits well, no need to relocate anything, etc etc...
