AEM F/IC writeup

After messing with the megasquirt off and on for the past few months, I somewhat regret selling the FIC.

I've actually got the MS working well with the stim but haven't yet put it in the car. I am reluctant to start cutting up another $215 patch harness. The problem with the MS is there are just too many options, and so much information all over the place. The Miata guys seem to be the most knowledgeable but not everything applies to our engine.

Well, if you have any specific questions about the FIC, you can ping me. I am confident I had mine running as well as is humanly possible, but it took a few months of data logs and friends and family riding shotgun with the laptop to get there.

Do you have a diagram of how yours is wired?

Also could you send me your tune? I just need something to start with, I have unlimited access to a dyno.

Big Lou I sent you an email and never saw anything. Let me know if you didnt get it and I will send you another.

My Email is twinrotor87 @ aol.com (no spaces, just trying to keep bots from picking up on it)

Im in the process of getting an AEM FIC, are they universal or is there a specific model we need to get for our cars, I drive a boosted P5?

You can have the wires right but not the MAF voltage and it won't start. Unless you've messed with the ignition or fuel maps, they should just pass the crank, cam and injector signals as is. The MAF however is nearly impossible to get right without fooling around with the pull down resistance and the MAF map.

Make sure you are using the latest spreadsheet I made.

he had 2 wires wired wrong as they were not fixed on the excel sheet. car runs now but few other minor issues to fix

edit your spread sheet has 2 wires different then what works for Lou, Myself and a few others
