does anybody know if aem is coming out with an ems for the speed3. Because I'm not a hugh fan of the Cobb AP. And I'm on the fence on cp-e standback and the xede. I have experience with aem ems so I would perfer
to have that.

well it took aem quite a few years to come out with a subaru based platform, but the evo x software was released very quickly.

i am talking with a few difference companies and I honestly can not say anything as of yet, but the more you guys email them the more likely products will become available.

You can always mod a universal unit if they dont. Thats what they did for our cars. Its a PITA to figure out, but once you have the base cal file, everyone becomes your friend and you can sell them for alot.

the aem has alot of features, but i found it overly complicated for anyhting but full race use. Also you have to remember, if you go custom, your in pioneer territory. Its lonely in pioneer territory.

i love the aem its my favorite platform to tune on, for street and race cars. Turning a universal model in a model that fit a dbw car is a HUGE HUGE HUGE pita.

I doubt there will ever be a PnP EMS for our cars... Our stock ECU can not be replaced because it controls a lot of other things besides the engine.

There are too many intergrated systems that an aftermarket EMS would not be able to fully control.

Now, if you are building a race car and need a direct injection EMS, then Mo-Tec has one for $8,000.

thats what we had to do. basically run the aem as a piggy for anything other than fuel and timing and boost. kinda defeats the purpose i think. Since you guys have some good piggys.
